The Human Digital Assistant™ platform consists of a series of components and modules that create the digital assistant, increasing the efficiency of communication between users and services, as it is shown below.
The Human Digital Assistant™ platform includes the following software components:
Authoring Tool: the back-office tool, entirely web-based, which is used to managed the life cycle of the experience base, from creation to work flow management, to publication.
Brain Server: the engine that manages the interactions and the logic behind the assistant’s appearance. The “brain” is a Java-side applications server.
Brain’s API: the “Brain”’s architecture which allows multiple connections between the assistant and external systems, such as relational databases, knowledge management repositories, CRM, portals and other company’s systems. Developed using Java SDK it quickly creates new data connectors and allows to personalise the existing ones.
Experience Base: schema and data for the assistant’s logic. The contents, behavioural norms and the assistant’s actions are stored in this database.
Face Engine: the server side of high quality 3D animation and of real-time rendering, it reproduces the textual contents as spoken words to produce the voice of the assistant; it also generates the code for audio/video in real time, also producing different delivery formats. The “Face” engine is located at the centre and it is the most innovative component of the Human Digital Assistant™ platform; it is in fact able to offer the most advanced human appearance characteristics and to transfer this to any device available on the network, all in real time.
